Fresh Graduate Mental Well-Being Support Program

First Year After Graduation

About the Program

Transitioning from university into the real world is one of the most vulnerable periods of life. Many graduates are confronted with rejection letters, financial stress, societal pressure, and an overwhelming sense of uncertainty about the future. Our Fresh Graduate Mental Well-Being Support Program provides a year-long, structured pathway that prioritizes the mental health of graduates while equipping them with practical tools for resilience, confidence, and career readiness.

The Problem We Are Trying to Solve

Across Africa, thousands of young people graduate every year only to face confusion, job scarcity, unstable finances, and sociocultural expectations that weigh heavily on their mental health. Instead of stepping confidently into the workforce, many graduates find themselves battling self-doubt, depression, and a lack of direction. This silent crisis not only affects individual well-being but also limits the potential of an entire generation to contribute fully to society.

Our Solution

We designed a holistic 12-month program that combines therapy, mentorship, skills-building, and community support. From financial literacy and resilience training to trauma healing and networking opportunities, the program addresses the mental, emotional, social, and professional challenges graduates face. Every participant begins with a personalised care plan and receives continuous guidance, ensuring no graduate walks alone during this crucial stage of life.

Our Goal

Our ultimate goal is to help fresh graduates transition into the labour market with healthier minds, stronger resilience, and clearer pathways, whether in employment, entrepreneurship, or continued personal growth. By the end of the program, participants will not only cope better with stress and rejection but will also stand more confident, connected, and hopeful about their future.

Why Solving This Problem Is Important

Mental health struggles among graduates go unnoticed at first but this transitional phase plays a huge part in shaping the trajectory of entire lives. A graduate who feels defeated by rejection may abandon their dreams; one crushed by financial stress might face desperation and fall into depression and vice, another overwhelmed by family pressure may never discover their true potential. Supporting graduates at this turning point is more than an intervention, it’s an investment in Africa’s future leaders, innovators, and changemakers.
