    About Me

Welcome, I’m Sharon Kahumbu, a licensed counseling psychologist committed to providing a

safe and compassionate space for healing and self-discovery. With four years of experience in

private practice, community mental health advocacy, and workplace wellness, I support

individuals facing challenges such as anxiety, trauma, grief, self-confidence struggles, and

burnout. My approach is eclectic, integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical

Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to tailor sessions to your

    unique needs.

I often liken therapy to untangling a thread—sometimes it feels knotted and overwhelming, but

with patience and care, we can find clarity and direction. In our sessions, you can expect

warmth, deep insight, and non-judgmental support as we navigate your inner world together.

My specialties include mental health awareness, emotional regulation, workplace mental health,

trauma counseling, and stress management. I offer individual therapy, online support, and group

therapy to help clients build resilience and achieve personal growth.

I am a Registered and Licensed Counseling Psychologist, Vice Chair of Let’s Go Mental Kenya,

and Founder of Serotonin Agenda. I also hold certifications in Professional Life Coaching

(Transformation Academy) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.

I firmly believe in your capacity for healing and growth, and I would be honored to walk

    alongside you on this journey.

    Testimonials

“Sharon has held my hand for almost 2 years now. She has helped me during my grieving

period. She is very instrumental in helping you create a positive mental environment for

yourself. I particularly appreciate her extra mile to always listen to me even outside our

sessions. I can always call or text and she will respond promptly. Not to mention her affordable

    rates. 10/10”

“Sharon has been my therapist for almost two years now. When we first started, I wasn't sure

what to think about therapy, I was skeptical like most people and wasn't sure what an outside

perspective would do for my healing process. I was hurting and using very unhealthy coping

mechanisms to deal with what I was going through. Sharon was warm and welcoming, she gave

me an audience and keenly listened to me when that was all I needed. She created a safe

space that allowed for me to consider looking at what I was going through from a different

perspective. She offered and continues to offer me great insights, as time went by, I was able to

notice a change in my thought process, my overall approach to life and the different things I face

on the day to day. The all-round shift and growth in my life has been amazing. I'm now

accountable, I'm more aware of my boundaries, triggers and able to decompress and deal with

things in a much healthier way. I'm also not scared of doing the heavy lifting and

facing/unpacking the things that have previously scared me or hurt me. I'm keen to continue

exploring and facing them. I enjoy my sessions. Though some are harder than others, I still look

    forward to them every week.”

“I highly recommend Sharon as a therapist because of her impactful and practical habit

changing advice, empathy, overall professional, affordable and easily accessible services.”
